USA Sweden U.S. to play in Sweden in August

The U.S. soccer team will return to Europe for the first time since last year's first-round World Cup elimination when it plays Sweden in an exhibition game Aug. 22 at Goteborg.

It will be just the fifth game between the nations, the first since a 1-0 U.S. victory on Jan. 24, 1998, at Orlando, Fla. Because it is on a date reserved for national team games, many of the Europe-based American players are likely to be available.
